Executives

Liam Davis

RAG Chairman

Hi! I’m the Vice President Student Activities at the Students Union and as part of my job I am the Chairman of RAG. It’s my job to make sure that we raise loads of cash and have a presence on campus. Its my first year involved with RAG and I’m Loving it! I sort have have a hand in everything whilst trying to ship off as much work to others as possible!

I’ve just graduated with a degree in History from DMU and have a keen interest in sports, beer, women and music. I’m a huge Chesterfield FC Fan and love to travel around the world.

Proud winner of the Beer Pong Champion of Champions competition at the 2010 RAG Conference. Take that Raggies! We also won ‘Best New RAG’ or something like that…

Tom Norman

Rag Officer/Events Co-ordinator

I’m in my third year of Music Tech & Innovation student at DMU, and have been involved in Rag since my first year. It has been a massive part of my university life helping me develop important skills which will prove imperative in the future and my goal is to raise awareness of the society within university in order to give other students the same opportunities I’ve had. My roles as Rag Officer & Events Co-ordinator are to liaise with the student council, improving conditions for students whether it may be educational or general welfare and also organise and help the Chairman run events throughout the year which not only raise money for charities but also raise awareness of Raise & Give. In my spare time if i’m not sleeping, im usually making music or doing stand up comedy (badly).

Lynette Williams

Secretary

I’m in my second year studying History and Politics, and although I was involved in RAG last year, my decision to take on a much greater role this year was a fantastic choice. RAG is all about raising money for charity whilst having as much fun as possible, which we most definitely do all the time! My role in RAG is that of the Secretary, I basically make sure all suggestions and ideas that are raised in each meeting, or in general, are recorded so that we can make a start on how to make something a reality, as well as supporting the rest of the committee and helping to organise some of our events.

Kirstyn Forward

Treasurer

I’m a second year Law student and have only recently just got involved in the RAG world. I’m really glad that I’m able to be a part of something so fun and different from everyday uni life! I’m the kind of person that doesn’t think before they suggest things, which most of the time gets me some really odd looks, but luckily this year I found that the weirder and more unusual our suggestions were the more people liked them! My role within the RAG team is to count the money that you guys give us as well as constantly pestering other students to sign up and buy a membership card….If I’m not in the SU on a Thursday night trying to remember how much money I came out with then I’ll be geeking it up in the library trying to pass my degree….
